Objectives:

• Provide immediate safety and shelter in a supportive , caring and confidential environment.

• Assist victims in assessing their needs and accompany them in obtaining resources for continued safety, empowerment, and self-sufficiency.

• Promote the reporting of domestic violence and sexual assault incidents and accountability for those who perpetrate the abuse.

• Assist in the development of services for all members in the cycle of domestic violence and sexual assault.

• Facilitate the coordination and cooperation of personnel from agencies and organizations which respond to domestic violence or sexual assault and encourage and assist with the training of all who respond.

• Increase community awareness and prevention of domestic violence or sexual assault through public education.

• Confront the systems of oppression that exist in the community and lead to violence by providing public education, victim advocacy, systems intervention and agency collaborations.
