- Clerical: Volunteers to help with typing, database, filing, sorting and many other projects an office assistant would do.
- Receptionist: Volunteers to answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with residents needs in the lobby area. Flexible shifts between the
hours of 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.
- Transportation: Providing safe transportation for women, men and children as the need arises to appointments in Willmar and the surrounding
area. Vehicles are often available, and when they are not mileage is reimbursed.
- Newsletter: About 4 times a year we need help folding and organizing the newsletter to mail out to our supporters.
- Fashion Coordinator: This is a weekly position that helps sort the generous donations from our community. They currently meet Thursday
mornings from 9-11 am.
- Meal Preparation: Opportunity for volunteers to prepare or bring in a meal for families staying in the shelter.
- Childcare: Volunteers provide safe care for children while mothers attend support groups and as the need arises for residential
appointments.
- Special Events: Assisting with an assortment of fund-raisers and other events throughout the year.
- Miscellaneous Opportunities: Individuals or groups to help with gardening/landscaping, lawn mowing, snow shoveling, car repairs, moving
families, and other needs as they arise.

Volunteers are invited to gather annually for a special event where they are recognized for the important work that they do. The annual recognition event includes a meal, a program, and door prizes.
